Our community partners

GMHBA partners with organisations to support the health and wellbeing of our community, with a particular focus on preventative mental health and wellbeing programs.
We partner with trusted and respected local community organisations who work tirelessly to support local communities.
Through our Charitable Gifts program, we extend our reach to support our communities across the state.

The Resilience Project
The Resilience Project delivers engaging programs to schools, sports clubs and businesses, providing practical, evidence-based mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness.
GMHBA has partnered with The Resilience Project and The Geelong Football Club to provide 11 schools across Geelong and Colac with invaluable access to TRP's School Wellbeing Program. Almost 4,000 students, their teachers and their parents, have access to the program – learning the principles of GEM (Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness) and Emotional Literacy.
The initiative is a foundational program in GMHBA’s Community Engagement strategy, which focuses on supporting positive mental health and resilience.

Read the Play
Read the Play delivers mental health programs with sports clubs in the Geelong and Barwon region. Their programs aim to empower young people to take control of their mental health and wellbeing.
With GMHBA's backing, Player Wellbeing Officers receive training and support to help improve the mental health literacy of players, coaches and parents.
